Introduction

The Stop the Bleed (STB) kits are essential tools designed to assist in emergency situations where bleeding control is necessary. In the context of SERTAC classes, these kits can serve as valuable door prizes to encourage participation and enhance learning outcomes.

Steps to Request STB Kits

1. Identify the Need

Before requesting STB kits, how many participants will be in the class. SERTAC will offer 1 kit per 10 students to be used as a door prize. The class should be offered to the public and not a closed or private class.

2. Complete the Request Form

Fill out the STB kit request form with all necessary information. Ensure accuracy and completeness to avoid delays in processing. https://form.jotform.com/251274106282148

· Class information: Dates, location, number of attendees.

· Contact information: Name, email, and phone number.

· Purpose: Specify that kits are for door prizes.

4. Approval Process

Submit the completed request form to SERTAC coordinator. Await confirmation of approval.

· Ensure follow-up if no response is received within a week.

· Keep a record of all communications for future reference.

5. Distribution

Once the kits are received, prepare for their distribution during the class. Ensure that each kit is accounted for and ready to be handed out.

· Announce the door prize during the class introduction.

· Hand out the kits at the conclusion of the class.

· Document the distribution for accountability.

The process for requesting and distributing STB kits at SERTAC classes is straightforward and aims to enhance the overall educational experience. By following these steps, you can ensure that participants receive valuable tools that may one day save lives.
